‘Huffpost Live’ Is Dead; Parts Ways with Founding Editor Roy Sekoff

If you were wondering, as many have, how in the world The Huffington Post could afford to ape a cable news channel with eight daily hours of live programming on its streaming network, the answer is that it couldn’t, and now “Huffpost Live” is officially dead. According to the left-wing Politico, on top of lay-offs, “HuffPost Live will no longer broadcast eight hours a day, but will go live for major news events and headline-making celebrity interviews.”

Roy Sekoff, one of the Huffington Post’s founding editors and the site’s video department chief, has also announced his resignation.

We already have three low-rated, left-wing cable news networks: CNN, MSNBC, and Al-Jazeera America.

For whatever reason, The Huffington Post thought America needed a third.
