Police: Naked Man Breaks into Florida Home, Attacks Residents Before His Death

A Florida man died Saturday after he allegedly broke into a home while he was naked to bite a woman.

James Raines, 40, is accused of breaking into an Ocala home while nude and attacking a man and two women inside the house, The Orlando Sentinel reported.

“[The victims] stated that Raines was out of control,” the Marion County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release posted on Facebook. “They also believed Raines was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

Raines allegedly attacked three people once he broke into the home and bit one of the women, authorities say. Authorities later found bite marks on one of the females in the house.

The three victims held him down in a bedroom before authorities arrived. Once deputies arrived, they found him unresponsive and took him to a local hospital where he later died.

The sheriff’s office did not release the cause of Raines’s death.
