Saudi Arabia postpones flogging of blogger Raif Badawi

Saudi Arabia postponed a second round of 50 lashes for blogger and activist Raif Badawi Friday, according to his family.

Badawi, convicted of “writing anti-Islamic discourse online” was flogged 50 times at a public square in the port city of Jeddah following Friday prayers last week, his wife confirmed to LisaDaftari.com.

Badawi is set to receive lashes continuously over a period of 20 weeks as the remainder of his sentence is carried out, according to Amnesty International.
