Richard Branson on Friday unveiled details of Virgin Atlantic’s new domestic service which he promises will bring “rock and roll spirit” to the skies.
The new operation, called Little Red, will go airborne on March 31 in Manchester, April 5 in Edinburgh and April 9 in Aberdeen and will offer 26 daily services to Heathrow.
Virgin acquired valuable take-off and landing slots at the London airport after British Airways’ parent company IAG took over the ailing Bmi and Branson hopes to challenge the national carrier.
He said the new service would “go head-to-head with BA to provide domestic flights that deliver Virgin Atlantic’s rock and roll spirit as well as real value for money.”
