Spain’s Princess Cristina has been summoned to testify as a suspect in a corruption case involving her husband, a court official said Wednesday, an historic blow to the prestige of the royal family including her father King Juan Carlos.
The princess must testify as a suspect on April 27 at the court in Palma on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca in a case centred on accusations of embezzlement and influence peddling by her husband, Inaki Urdangarin.
