UK unemployment in biggest quarterly fall since 2001

The number of unemployed people in Britain saw its biggest quarterly fall since 2001 between August and October, official data showed Wednesday.

The number of people out of work fell to 2.51 million from 2.514 million in the three months to September, the Office for National Statistics said in a statement.

The official unemployment rate was unchanged at 7.8 percent over the same three-month comparison, the data showed.
