Defensive tackle Warren Sapp, tackle Jonathan Ogden and coach Bill Parcells were elected along with five others to the 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Modern-era players Chris Carter and Larry Allen also got the nod during Saturday’s announcement which was made at the New Orleans Convention Center just one day before the Baltimore Ravens face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 47 at the Superdome.
Linebacker Dave Robinson and lineman Curley Culp rounded out the seven new members by being selected as senior nominees.
The 2013 class features three first-ballot inductees, Sapp, Ogden and Allen, and wide receiver Carter who had a long wait.
Defensive end Michael Strahan, running back Jerome Bettis and wide receiver Tim Brown were on the ballot but did not get in.
