Police quizzed a 26-year-old man over the murder of “caring and quiet” teenager Kieran Crump Raiswell, who was stabbed to death in Manchester on Wednesday.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said detectives were questioning a man from Bracknell, Berkshire, suspected of carrying out the daylight attack in the Whalley Range area of the city.
“We have made an arrest but the investigation is continuing,” said Detective Chief Inspector Peter Marsh.
“I still want to hear from you if you saw Kieran walking along Upper Chorlton Road on Wednesday afternoon or if you saw anyone acting suspiciously.”
The 18-year-old was on his way to distribute his resume among shops and businesses when he was stabbed in the chest in an apparently random attack.
Police said they have “no idea” why he was targeted.
