A man accused of biting off part of the ear of an actor who starred in “Game of Thrones” and “Casualty” was bailed after appearing in court Friday.
Actor Clive Mantle, 55, was attacked at a Travelodge motel in Newcastle on March 24, apparently after a row about noise.
Philip McGilvray, 32, of Hamilton, Scotland, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court charged with wounding with intent.
He was granted bail with conditions including a ban on him entering licensed premises.
The next hearing in the case will be at Newcastle Crown Court on April 26.
Mantle played Greatjon Umber, a northern lord, in the first series of “Game Of Thrones” and surgeon Mike Barrett in “Casualty”.
