The United States will host Brazil at Jacksonville, Florida, in a first-round Davis Cup tie next February, the US Tennis Association announced on Tuesday.
The matches will be played February 1-3 at the 13,000-seat Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena with US captain Jim Courier set to guide the Americans in their first home tie since the 2011 quarter-finals in Austin, Texas.
John Isner, Sam Querrey and Ryan Harrison are among those who could fill out the American lineup for the matches.
The US squad won road ties against Switzerland and France this year before falling at Spain in the semi-finals.
“There’s nothing like playing Davis Cup in your home country,” Courier said. “We were very happy to draw a home match. This could be a great opportunity for players like John, Sam and Ryan to experience a home court advantage for the first time in their Davis Cup careers.”
The US squad has a 3-1 record against Brazil in Davis Cup play, winning most recently in the first round at Brazil in 1997.
If the Americans advance, they would play host to either Serbia or Belgium in the Davis Cup quarter-finals on April 5-7.
