British police on Monday charged a 45-year-old man with the murder of six siblings who died after a fire tore through their home in May, police said.
Paul Mosley, of Derby in central England, is accused of murdering Jade Philpott, 10, and her brothers aged five to 13, Derbyshire Police said.
He will appear before Derby Magistrates Court on Tuesday, a police spokeswoman added.
The parents of the six children are due in court on Thursday also charged over the May 11 fire.
The couple gave an emotional press conference immediately following the deaths of the children, crying uncontrollably as they thanked neighbours and authorities for their efforts to save the children.
But two weeks later they were arrested on suspicion of the killings.
Police earlier said the fire appeared to have started with petrol poured through the letterbox of their Derby home.
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Cotterill said: “Three people have now been charged with the murder of these children. This man stands accused alongside Michael and Mairead Philpott.
The father made headlines in 2007 when he appeared in a television documentary about welfare.
At the time he had 17 children and demanded that local authorities give him a larger house to share with his wife, girlfriend and eight of their children.
