Italy's GDP shrinks for 8th quarter

Italy’s economy shrank by 0.2 percent in the second quarter of 2013 from output in the first quarter, making the eighth quarter of contraction in a row, official data showed on Tuesday.

Gross domestic product (GDP) shrank by 2.0 percent compared to output 12 months earlier, the Istat data agency said.
