US President Barack Obama will hold a news conference next Wednesday, his first since he was re-elected to a second term, the White House said Friday.
Obama’s spokesman Jay Carney said the president would field reporters’ questions at the White House, two days before he is due to meet leaders of Congress for high stakes talks on defusing a year-end tax and spending showdown.
