BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Oct. 5 (UPI) — Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe said he doesn’t “really do anything” with the nearly $90 million he’s amassed since starring in his first Potter film at age 11.

“I don’t really do anything with my money,” Radcliffe told the Belfast Telegraph. “I’m very grateful for it because having money means you don’t have to worry about it, which is a very lovely freedom to have. It also gives me immense freedom, career-wise.”

Radcliffe’s fortune is estimated at about $90 million, and, he said, that cushion is what has allowed him to focus on more independent films.

“I feel you have a responsibility when you can be that choosy,” he said. “For all the people who’ve followed my career, I want to give them something to be interested in, rather than them just watch me make loads of money on crap films for the rest of my life.”

Radcliffe is starring in the film Imperium as an undercover FBI agent who aims to expose a neo-Nazi terrorist plot, in theaters now.
