Emma Watson meets new Hermione portrayer Noma Dumezweni

LONDON, July 11 (UPI) — Emma Watson says she has met her fellow Hermione Granger portrayer Noma Dumezweni.

Watson played the girl wizard in eight Harry Potter films. Dumezweni plays an adult version of the character in the London stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, penned by Jack Thorne, based on a story from J.K. Rowling.

Scheduled to officially open in the West End on July 30, the play is now in previews. It is set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

“It was SO lovely to meet you @MissDumezweni. #Hermiones,” Watson tweeted.

The message captioned a sweet photo of Dumezweni holding Watson’s face in her hands in Dumezweni’s theater dressing room.
