Melbourne (AFP) – England defeated the Wallabies 23-7 in the second Melbourne Test to win their first-ever series in Australia on Saturday.

England, who won the opening Test 39-28 in Brisbane, held the Wallabies at bay in the second half and finished them off with a late Owen Farrell try.

The Wallabies had many scoring chances while trailing 13-7 but a combination of errors and stout England defence won the match for the Six Nations champions.
