Shark steals fishing tourists’ catch in New Zealand

June 21 (UPI) — A group of British tourists fishing in New Zealand captured the moment a shark unexpectedly stole the fish from the end of a line.

The tourists said they were fishing off the coast of Paihia, Bay of Islands, when they spotted a group of bronze whaler sharks approaching their boat.

The video shows one of the sharks swoop in and grab a fish from the end of one of the tourists’ lines.

“They just tore these kingfish apart like butter, it was just amazing to watch,” the filmer wrote.
