Two dead, several hurt in armed attack on Istanbul nightclub: TV

Istanbul (AFP) – At least two people were killed in an armed attack Saturday on an Istanbul nightclub where people were celebrating the New Year, Turkish television reports said.

One civilian and one police officer were killed while several other people were injured, NTV television said, adding that two gunmen had entered the venue dressed as Santa.
