WAM Sharjah, Oct 15th, 2012 (WAM) — H. H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah received today Alex Chernov, Governor of Victoria and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the country.
Also present were H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
During the meeting, Sharjah Ruler welcomed the Australian official hailing the two countries’ interests and their efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation at all levels to achieve the ambitions and aspirations of both peoples.
The meeting also discussed a number of issues related to the mechanism and ways to promote and strengthen cooperation between the Emirate of Sharjah and Australia in various fields, especially in cultural, educational and medical fields.
For his part, Alex Chernov hailed the distinguished relations between his country and the UAE, noting Sharjah Ruler’s outstanding and pioneering achievements in various fields through investment in education and human resources.
He also confirmed that the meeting with Sheikh Sultan will have a greater impact in opening new horizons for fruitful cooperation serving the common interests of the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by a number of Sheikhs and officials.
