11:16 PM: Interesting. John Bel Edwards needs to really thank Coach O, “6-4, 270” Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and “Jeaux Burreaux”….?
The final margin is likely to be very close. A Dem strategist I just spoke with credits LSU's win vs. Alabama for voters' satisfaction w/ direction of state & Edwards's razor-thin victory. #LAGOV

Also appears at first glance that the Democratic base (esp. black voters) turned out very strongly. Edwards needed a different electorate to show up at the polls than October, and looks like he got it. #lagov https://t.co/8BJpWILly4

9:25 PM:
More possible signs that @DocAbraham voters may be staying home (or crossing over). For @JohnBelforLA to win, likely needs a different electorate to turn out than in primary, when GOP took a majority.
