Few will soon forget the stunning entrance and passionate speech of Falcons 1st round draft pick Takkarist McKinley, who made his way down the steps to meet the commissioner carrying a large portrait of his deceased grandmother and shouting her praises. McKinley then told all in attendance of how his grandmother had told him to continue his dream of playing in the NFL, and how getting drafted by an NFL team completed that journey.
McKinley’s display made quite the impression on everyone who saw it. It especially made an impression on FS1’s Clay Travis, who took to Twitter and reacted to what he saw:
Dropping the GD with a portrait of his dead Grandma in his arms. That’s next level. https://t.co/Rjw33A7QP0

Is the picture of the grandma a carry on? Did he check it? Go through the metal detector with it? I have so many questions here.

Also, where was that picture taken? What grown person gets a solo picture taken of themselves?

At some point, McKinley became aware of Travis’ tweets and reacted to them, biblically:
Hope this shows you the devil is alive and well.. to straight disrespect someone dead grandmother and think it’s funny is crazy to me. pic.twitter.com/KyD29ILQHi

Travis did not go quietly, however:
I love grandmas more than you. Sincerely, the devil. https://t.co/PK9iNrJdS0

It’s early, but these angry Grandma tweets may give the band geeks a run. Fingers crossed.
