Amman, May 19 (Petra) – His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday received a delegation from the Jordanian-Kuwaiti Parliamentary Friendship Committee, headed by Deputy Hamad Al Harshani.
During the meeting, which was attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, the King praised the strong relations between Jordan and Kuwait in all sectors and called for more efforts to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the interest of both countries, especially at the parliamentary and legislative levels.
His Majesty thanked Kuwait, which is led by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, for its continued support of Jordan under all circumstances.
The meeting touched upon the latest developments in the Arab region, focusing on the repercussions of the Syrian crisis and the efforts to achieve peace between Israelis and Palestinians through the implementation of the two-state solution.
The Kuwaiti delegation also noted the strong cooperation between Jordan and Kuwait in all fields and expressed its appreciation for the King’s efforts to achieve peace and security in the Middle East. The delegation also lauded the King for leading the reform process in Jordan and setting an example for the region.
