Emirates Global Aluminium extends support for innovation and continuous improvement in business


WAM Dubai, 19th Apr. 2014 (WAM) — Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) – the jointly-owned, UAE-based aluminium conglomerate formed by Mubadala Development Corporation and Investment Corporation of Dubai – has continued its support for innovation and continuous improvement by sponsoring the 9th Ideas Arabia International Conference in Dubai. The event takes place from 22 to 23 April 2014 at The Palace Hotel Downtown under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group. EGA’s involvement in the annual Ideas Arabia International Conference extends existing relationships whereby Dubai Aluminium PJSC (DUBAL) – which will become an operating subsidiary of EGA on the latter’s incorporation – was the main sponsor of the event on five occasions (2006, 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2012) and the platinum sponsor of the 8th Ideas Arabia International Conference in 2013.




Ideas Arabia – under the umbrella of Dubai Quality Group (DQG) – promotes innovation to enhance business competitiveness through a forum of companies that share best practice. The main objective of Ideas Arabia is to create an awareness of the scheme, implementation, evaluation process, award structure, audit system, and benchmarking statistics which would effectively improve the business profits and quality of services. The two-day conference will have both Arabic and English presentations conducted by experts in the field from around the world, with live translation.




The annual Ideas Arabia Conference also provides a forum for the Ideas Arabia ï؟ ½Idea of the Year’ competition, which aims to recognise the most significant ideas implemented by organizations throughout the calendar year. In addition, the competition gives participating organizations an opportunity to benchmark against other leading organizations.
