Shonda Rhimes blasts viewer who criticizes 'gay scenes'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (UPI) —

Shonda Rhimes blasted one of her show’s viewers on Sunday after the fan tweeted to her that the "gay scenes" on her shows were "too much."




Rhimes is the writer of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder, which all have gay characters. One of her fans said the couples’ relationships and their physical scenes were "too much."




Rhimes, who has been vocal on Twitter about social issues, did not appreciate the sentiment and told the viewer her opinions were not welcome in Shondaland, telling her "Bye, Felicia."
