‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ Beta Impressions: Taking Back NYC

I had a chance to get my hands on Ubisoft’s latest entry in the long-running Tom Clancy universe over the weekend during a limited beta test. I went in with very low expectations, but by the time I emerged from the ruins of New York City, I found myself excited for The Division’s imminent release.

‘Hitman’ Beta Impressions: Not Quite Ready to Come Out of the Shadows

The first thing that strikes me about the Hitman beta is its beauty. The helicopter pad on which I’m deposited is lashed by arctic wind. The monolithic entrance to the Agency’s training center is appropriately foreboding. Every graphical bell and whistle is on display, and for a moment I’m just grateful to be back in Agent 47’s shoes.

‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ – Beta Impressions

My first moments with the Star Wars: Battlefront beta are pure and unfettered jubilation. Everything looks right, and everything sounds right. My first impression is that I am part of Star Wars in a way that I’ve only dreamt of for most of my life. It is crisp, clear, and more immediate than any other experience I have had in a universe that was as real to child-Nate as the one outside his window.
