An Uber driver in New York has been arrested and charged with public lewdness for allegedly exposing himself to a female passenger.

WSFA 12 News reports that 24-year-old former Uber driver Taylor Evans was arrested this week on charges of public lewdness. Evans reportedly picked up a female passenger, who has chosen to remain anonymous, on Monday. He then allegedly unzipped his pants and exposed himself to the woman for the duration of the Uber ride.

“I was very freaked out. I didn’t know what to do. I was in the middle of traffic, so if I stepped out of the car, I might just get run over,” the woman said.

The woman stated that she regularly takes pictures of her Uber drivers’ licenses. “I mean, every time I get on the Uber, I – you never know, but I didn’t think it was going to be me this time,” she explained.

The unidentified woman also took pictures during the ride as purported proof that Evans had exposed himself to her and notified police once she arrived at her workplace. When questioned, Evans stated that he had never hurt the woman and had not been exposing himself to her purposefully but had been “adjusting” himself.

Evans has since been banned from driving for Uber and joins a growing list of similar cases in recent months where Uber drivers have been accused of attempting to take advantage of their passengers. In August, a Chicago Uber driver was accused of trapping a 19-year-old woman in his car, demanding that she have sex with him as payment for the trip, while in October an Uber driver in the Dallas Fort-Worth area allegedly sexually assaulted a 77-year-old passenger during an Uber trip.
