More Previously Deported Sexual Predators Arrested at Texas Border

MCALLEN, Texas — Previously deported sexual predators with criminal convictions continue to be a regular sight at federal hearings following their arrests by U.S Border Patrol agents.

Last week, Jose Manuel Segovia Granados went before U.S. Magistrate Judge Dorina Ramos who ordered he be held without bond.

Segovia is a 22-year-old criminal alien from El Salvador. He was arrested last week near Roma, Texas, moments after having crossed the Rio Grande River, court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed.

Border Patrol agents were able to determine that Segovia was deported in April from Phoenix, Arizona. Segovia had been convicted of attempted sexual assault of a child last November. He had been sentenced to serve only 30 day in prison.

Last week, authorities also arrested 47-year-old Pablo Medrano Banda, a previously deported Mexican citizen who had been living in South Texas.

Medrano claimed to have crossed the Rio Grande River in April through Progreso, Texas. He had been deported in March, 2013, through Laredo, Texas. The deportation came after he served a prison sentence in the institutional division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. On September, 2010, Texas State Judge Rudy Delgado convicted him of indecency with a child by sexual contact and sentenced him to four years in prison.

Just last month, Breitbart Texas reported on the arrest of 23-year-old Mauricio Toto Xolo, a previously convicted criminal alien who was arrested near the Texas border. Xolo spent 12 months in prison following a 2010 rape conviction. He was then deported on November 1, 2011 through Laredo, Texas.

Also last month, authorities arrested 22-year-old Joel Silva Duran, a convicted child rapist who was also recently caught near the border city of Roma just months after having been deported.

Breitbart News has also reported in the past about the number of criminal aliens who continue to be released into the U.S. despite their criminal history under the new Priority Enforcement Program. This programs allows many convicted criminal aliens to remain in the United States.
