The Wisconsin businessman who has launched a primary challenge to House Speaker Paul Ryan, Paul Nehlen, has vowed to tour the entire U.S.-Mexico border with Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby. The commitment was made on May 8 while speaking to Breitbart News Sunday on SiriusXM.
Nehlen’s comments were given from the actual border in the Laredo Sector. He was experiencing the Breitbart border tour with Darby and the two were less than three feet from the Rio Grande, the narrow river that separates Texas from Mexico.
Darby’s border work is known for deep investigative efforts that rely on sources in Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and then verifying the information with video and photographic evidence. The findings usually directly conflict with the official line from the Obama Administration and their politically appointed leadership in the agency. Nehlen has committed to follow Darby’s style in keeping his border tour details unannounced so that he can see and experience what Border Patrol agents are actually dealing with–without allowing CBP to beef up security in an effort to misrepresent the realities on the border.
