Headless Body Found in Texas

The headless body of a chemical plant pipe cutter was found in a pick-up truck in Brazoria County, south of Houston. The body was found on May 3 but was just identified this week as that of Jubal Dee Alexander, a Port Arthur man. This is the second headless body found near the Texas coast in the past 14 months.

Deputies from the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Austin Bayou Boat Ramp after fisherman noticed a truck that had not been moved in a few days. The fisherman reported what was believed to be a lifeless body in the Chevrolet pickup truck, KHOU CBS11 reported. Responding officers discovered the headless body of the murdered victim.

Alexander’s last reported contact was on April 27. He worked as a pipe cutter at a chemical plant in the area and had worked the overnight shift before going missing. He was homeless at the time.

The father of the deceased pipe cutter spoke with ABC13’s Natasha Barret in Houston.  “They cut my son’s head off and they took my son’s head. Who would do that? They won’t even let me see him,” the grieving father said.

He told the Houston reporter he had dinner with his son a few days before the murder. He said his son was sleeping in his truck trying to save money to pay his bills. Alexander was following in his father’s footsteps by working in the chemical plants.

It appears robbery was not a motive in the attack because the young man’s wallet was found in his truck. Cash and a guitar were also in the truck.

The fisherman who became suspicious and discovered the body near Angleton, Texas, was an off duty Galveston police officer, ABC13 reported.

The father of the decapitated man pleaded for help from the public. “I don’t want to see anything to the person I want help define all the people who do this I want enough coverage I want people to know I don’t want this to be swept under the rug or die in a cold case, ” he said.

The victims head has not been found.

Breitbart Texas reported on another headless body that was found in Texas in March 2015. In that case, a nude decapitated man was found floating in the water near the Texas border along South Padre Island. The man was identified by police using fingerprints as Franklin Rodriguez Palacios Paz.

Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio told Breitbart Texas, “At first glance this could very well be a cartel murder.”

It turned out the sheriff’s instincts were correct. Breitbart Texas’ Ildefonso Ortiz reported in November that U.S. Border Patrol Agent Joel Luna was arrested in connection with the murder. He was alleged to be working with the Gulf Cartel. Luna was eventually charged in a Texas court with Capital Murder.
