UConn Football Player Killed in Campus Stabbing

NBC Connecticut: University of Connecticut football player Jasper Howard died after being stabbed during an on-campus fight Sunday morning.

Howard, 20, a junior and starting cornerback from Miami, was fatally stabbed outside the Student Union around 12:30 a.m.

Police say that an officer on patrol near Hillside Road was approached by an individual who had reported a stabbing. The officer then discovered Howard and another UConn student, who had both been stabbed.
