Police Give #OccupyLA Carte Blanche: Protesters Shut-Down Downtown During Rush Hour Without Permit For March

Is it orders from the mayor, or preferential treatment for government workers’ unions who are heavily involved with the Occupy LA protests? Either way, hundreds of marchers were allowed to shut-down traffic in downtown Los Angeles while police openly admitted they did not have a permit for their demonstration. Would the Tea Party be given the same lee-way?
