During an interview broadcast on Thursday’s “The Lead,” on CNN, Vice President Joe Biden argued that white working and middle class voters “are good people, man. These aren’t racists. These aren’t sexists.”
During a dicussion on the Democratic Party’s performance among white working and middle class voters, Biden pointed to a leading Democrat who once said that “For every vote Biden is going to go out there and get some white guy to vote, I’ll get two educated women to vote Democrat.”
He added, “There’s a sort of sense that’s grown up in the Democratic Party that somehow these folks are — I mean, these are good people, man. These aren’t racists. These aren’t sexists.”
Biden further argued that he hasn’t found a difference between his own progressive views, and what people in union halls think.
