During the online “Overtime” segment of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher argued that President Trump is capable of ordering murders.
Maher asked Faith and Freedom Coalition Chairman Ralph Reed if he believes Vladimir Putin has ordered murders. After Reed said yes, Maher asked the panel, “Do you think Trump is capable of that?”
Maher answered his own question by saying, “Because I do.” He added, “I think he loves dictators, loves the way they behave, compliments them all the time — Sisi and that nut in the Philippines and Erdogan and Kim Jong-un is a ‘smart cookie.'”
CNN Analyst for International Affairs and author Michael Weiss answered, “I think if he thought he could get away with it, he would. But, one thing that we’ve learned is the resiliency of American institutions has checked this guy tremendously.”
