On Tuesday’s “CNN Tonight,” Representative Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) stated the zero-tolerance immigration policy “has zero credibility, zero morality, zero integrity,” and the president “appears to have a blind spot as it relates to compassion, or the lack thereof, for communities of color, for vulnerable communities, for people of diversity.”
Jeffries said, “Donald Trump is lying to the American people. This so-called zero-tolerance policy, which right away, has zero credibility, zero morality, zero integrity, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Trump White House. It was created by Donald Trump and Stephen Miller and Jeff Sessions. they cooked it up, are solely responsible for it, and Donald Trump can end it today.”
Jeffries added, “Well, the president appears to have a blind spot as it relates to compassion, or the lack thereof, for communities of color, for vulnerable communities, for people of diversity. And it’s entirely inconsistent with the nation that we are. And that’s quite unfortunate.”
