In the city of Chicago “gang member” Koman Willis has turned himself in after allegedly killing a six-month-old child. Willis, 33, was apparently taking revenge on Jonathan Watkins for stealing his video game. Willis has 38 prior arrests.
In March of this year, Willis allegedly fired a hail of bullets at the minivan where Watkins was sitting with his six-month-old daughter Jonylah. Jonathan survived but one bullet killed the infant. Jonylah had survived an attack on her mother, Judy, who was shot in the knee while eight months pregnant.
Jonathan Watkins has a lengthy criminal history himself; police said at the time of the murder that he had links to the Gangster Disciples clique. He still claims he has no idea why the shooting occurred.
Police have expressed frustration that people in the community have not been helpful with the investigation.
