Christie: Strip Club Won't Hurt 'Family-Friendly Nature' of Atlantic City

Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said the opening of a strip club in Atlantic City will still make the destination a family-friendly one.

As NJ.com has reported, a Scores’ strip club will open in the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort next month. Christie has tried to market Atlantic City as a place where whole families can vacation together.

According to reports, the “New York strip club will open a $25 million satellite — complete with private VIP rooms, stripper poles and ultra-VIP rooms for celebrities and high-rollers — in the casino,” although New Jersey laws that govern casinos “prohibit total nudity.”

Christie said, “As long as they comply with the laws they’re allowed to conduct business however they see fit.”
