On April 7th, a tweet from Democrat congressional candidate Mike Dickinson’s Twitter account claimed that if elected, he will wage “war” on various groups referred to as “trash.” Interestingly, his account has since been “suspended.”
The tweet stated: “If elected I promise WAR on the Tea Party, @FoxNews, @NRA and other trash.”
Three hours later, another tweet said: “When I am elected I will go to war with these groups. I will pursue the @NRA & destroy them. I will get the IRS to audit the Tea Party.”
On April 6th, Breitbart News reported on a tweet sent Friday from Dickinson’s account which asked: “What’s obscene to you? @HustlerMag or a group like the @NRA that supports trophy hunting and elephant killing?” Another tweet referred to those who support the NRA as “pure trash.”
As UPI also reports, Dickinson’s Twitter account, no longer accessible to the public, has been used as a sounding board to insult those with whom the candidate disagrees.
