On December 7 the Washington DC Metro Police Department tweeted a photo of a .22 lr target pistol and a two shot derringer–possibly chambered in .22 lr as well–both of which were “seized” on Sunday.
The target pistol appears to be a Browning Buckmark .22, popular for plinking cans and paper targets.
The text of the tweet said, “Members of the Gun Recovery Unit seized these two illegal firearms in NE yesterday.”

No explanation was given for why the guns were seized, but DC does have strict registration requirements for firearms.
