GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is bashing Sen. Marco Rubio as a “nervous basket case” and “choke artist.” Trump also said rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is smarter than Rubio.

Trump spoke following his endorsement by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie during a press conference in Fort Worth, Texas. The two tag-teamed attacks on Rubio.

“I have had a lot of difficulties with Ted,” the real estate mogul said, alleging the Texas senator tells lies. Trump added, “He’s tougher and he’s actually smarter. I have to give that to him.”

“Lets talk about our light weight senator from Florida that’s losing in the polls,” Trump said, referencing Rubio. “He’s a nervous basket case.” Trump charged that before the debate, “He was putting on makeup.”

“He was just trying to cover up the sweat,” Trump jabbed.

Trump complimented Christie’s debate performance in New Hampshire where he went after Rubio, saying it was one of the greatest “prosecutions I’ve ever seen.”

“I watched Chris take a man apart and I looked at him and honestly I thought he was going to die – Rubio. He was so scared like a little frightened puppy,” Trump jabbed.

Trump called Rubio a “total choke artist” and referenced his water break during his response to President Obama’s past State of the Union, referencing “that catastrophe.”

“Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like that,” he said, adding that Rubio is a “nasty guy.”

Trump also went after former Republican nominee Mitt Romney – who Trump has been feuding with over his tax returns – during the rally.

“I know he’ll support Rubio,” Trump said of Romney. “Honestly, if he wanted to support me, I would not accept his support.”

Trump also went after the press. “We can sue them,” he said, after calling the press dishonest, adding, “with me, they’re not protected.”

“We’re going to open up those libel laws and we’re going to have people sue you like you’ve never been sued before,” Trump vowed.
