An armed suspect in Warner Robins, Georgia, was shot and killed after he allegedly “forced entry into the apartment” early Sunday morning.

The deceased suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Cartrell Brooks.

According to WMAZ, Brooks was allegedly armed with a handgun. Warner Robins Police Department’s Jennifer Parson said the 911 call to police “came in as a home invasion with shots fired.”

Twenty-six-year-old Malandon West and 26-year-old James Alderson were inside the apartment at the time of the incident and police are still working to figure out which of the two men shot Brooks.

Brooks was shot “at least once” and transported to a hospital, where he died of his injuries. Parson said no one else was injured.
