'Duck Dynasty' Returns to White House Correspondents Dinner

The A&E reality show smash Duck Dynasty will make a return appearance to the annual White House Correspondents Dinner this weekend.

Show stars Willie Robertson and wife Korie will attend the event for the second year as guests of their home network. Apparently all (or most) is forgiven following the brief network suspension of show patriarch Phil Robertson following an interview he gave to GQ magazine on sin and gay issues.

Robertson, who can be seen in the sleeper hit God’s Not Dead, told US News and World Report that he fondly recalls meeting President Obama at last year’s event.

We had the pleasure of meeting President Obama who said he was a fan of the show and watched it on Air Force One, so that was pretty surreal,” Robertson wrote. “I’m not sure how you top that, but it’s an honor to have been invited back again this year.

Duck Dynasty’s ratings have slipped following the protracted debate over the patriarch’s comments, but the dinner invite shows the series still matters to A&E brass.
