A registered sex offender who is an immigrant from Mexico has been arrested in Austin, Texas, for allegedly sexually assaulting another teen he met through an LGBT organization called “Out Youth.”
24-year-old alien sex offender, Ever Jose Medrano, was placed on the sex offenders list in Texas when, 7 years ago, he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old child. Medrano was 17 at the time. He now stands charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a boy who was less than 17-years-old at the time of the incident. The relationship with the boy ended two years ago, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Medrano met his newest victim at meeting of Out Youth, an Austin-based LGBT organization. The teen told police that Medrano had become his mentor. He said the relationship developed and they continued a sexual relationship for about two years.
Out Youth told the Austin American-Statesman Medrano was never an employee or a volunteer with their organization and that none of the sexual activity took place at their facility. the organization did confirm with police that both the teen and Medrano were involved with the group at the time.
The teen’s brother also confirmed the sexual relationship having walked in on his brother and Medrano while they were having sex.
In December, Austin police arrested Medrano for violating the terms of his sex offender registration. He was booked into the Travis County jail. He posted bond and was released the next day, the Statesman reported.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety records obtained by Breitbart Texas, Medrano also goes by the name “Bam-Bam.” He was discharged from the juvenile probation system in August 2009 and has been on the registered sex offender list since that time.
The San Antonio Express-News reported turned sexual after a game of “truth or dare” in December 2012.
Initially, Medrano said he did not have sexual contact with the victim but admitted to “spooning” with the boy. He also admitted to police that he would stay overnight at the victims home and sleep in his room, his brother’s room, or on the couch.
He eventually admitted to having consensual sex with the boy, the San Antonio newspaper reported, but not until after he turned 17, the legal age of consent in Texas.
Austin police officers arrested Medrano on Monday, according to Travis County jail records obtained by Breitbart Texas. A bond of $50,000 has been set for the charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. An ICE Detainer has been placed on Medrano, jail records revealed.
Breitbart Texas spoke with officials from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) office in San Antonio. The official explained that Medrano will be held in the jail until he is either released on bond or his criminal case is completed. At that point, Medrano will be turned over to ICE for processing to determine if removal proceedings will be put in place. The official said the ICE detainer is not a confirmation of the alien’s legal or illegal status, only that the person is an alien.
