WASHINGTON, D.C. – Replaced Americans due to outsourcing rallied outside the White House as President Trump met with Indian Prime Minister Modi, likely to discuss the H-1B visa program.

Sara Blackwell, the president of Protect U.S. Workers, gathered a small group of American workers who had been negatively impacted by globalization of America’s high-skilled industries.

Every year, more than 100,000 foreign workers are brought to the U.S. on the H-1B visa and allowed to stay for up to six years. That number has ballooned to potentially hundreds of thousands each year, as universities and non-profits are exempt from the cap. With more entering the U.S. through the visa, Americans are often replaced and forced to train their foreign replacements.

In an interview with Breitbart Texas, Blackwell said she wants to see Trump sit down with laid off American workers, rather than corporate tech CEOs.

“We feel like President Trump needs to listen to an American worker,” Blackwell said. “President Trump needs to be reminded of the people who voted for him because he was a champion for the American workers. He was our leader and he is our leader. We really believe that if he can listen and know the truth, that he would stand up for us and be our champion again.”

“This rally was about reminding him to be our champion and to be our leader,” Blackwell continued.

On the campaign trail, Trump adamantly opposed the replacement and displacement of American workers by the H-1B visa, going as far as to campaign with fired Disney workers who were forced to train their foreign replacements.

Despite an executive order mandating a full legal review of the H-1B visa, Blackwell said CEOs and outsourcing firms are continuing to use their power to influence the Trump Administration to protect the burgeoning offshoring industry.

“There’s a whole system, a whole business model,” Blackwell said. “And honestly, it’s all about greed of the millionaire business owners in this country. If you look down at what really the benefit is, it’s really the bonuses.”

“Ginni Rometty of IBM got $53 million while she was firing Americans every single quarter for 14 quarters… they are just sending all the work to poor countries,” Blackwell said.

Blackwell planned the rally specifically on the day that Modi would be in Washington, D.C. meeting with Trump. India is the single-largest beneficiary of mass immigration and outsourcing from the U.S.

As Breitbart Texas previously reported, Modi has been urged by Indian lawmakers to demand Trump drop his legal review of the H-1B visa and put an end to his plan to push a merit-based immigration system.

“He should demand and obtain credible and firm assurances from US President Donald Trump that he will reverse his decision which discriminates against Indian professionals… He cannot return empty-handed,” India Congress spokesman Anand Sharma said at the time.

Blackwell previously attended a meeting at the White House to talk about majorly reforming the H-1B visa, as Breitbart Texas exclusively reported. The meeting was set up by Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller.
