Massive Anti-Government Protests in Syria

Tens of thousands of people are demonstrating in Syria to call for the end of President Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Thousands turn have turned out in Damascus, where protests have so far been rare, and in the city of Hama, Syrian forces opened fire on a crowd of some 50,000 demonstrators.
