In his opening “Talking Points” segment of his Tuesday “The O’Reilly Factor” program, host Bill O’Reilly discussed the topic of the 2016 presidential election and what role the media may play.
According to O’Reilly, the state of that media in America is less than ideal.
“The presidential race off and running,” O’Reilly said. “That is the subject of this evening’s ‘Talking Points Memo.’ Presidential vote about 21 months away, but the campaign is on and that is not a good thing. American voters can get easily overwhelmed with all the BS. However, with the Republican nomination being wide open, and a polarizing Hillary Clinton likely to represent the Democrats, this will be a very high-profile election. Obviously the media will play a huge role and unfortunately the press has been corrupted in America by money, the internet, and ideology.”
O’Reilly referred to comments made by Ruben Navarrette, a CNN contributor, to NewsMax criticizing broadcast and cable outlets, including Spanish language outlets, of having bias as evidence to back up his point.
