Dylan Farrow, the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen, is finally talking about the uproar caused by her public letter accusing Allen of sexually molesting her as a girl.
She opened up to People magazine this week regarding her accusations and those who say she is simply the pawn of her mother, Allen’s former lover.
It took all of my strength and all of my emotional fortitude to do what I did this week in the hope that it would put the truth out there,” says Dylan, 28, now a happily married writer. “That is my only ammunition. I don’t have money or publicists or limos or fancy apartments in Manhattan. All I have is the truth and that is all I put out there.
Allen has denied the charges, and he was never officially charged with molestation. He has written his own op-ed to answer Dylan Farrow’s accusations and submitted it to The New York Times. The newspaper says it is currently considering the submission.
Some Allen defenders suggest Dylan Farrow is acting out on behalf of her mother, whose romance with Allen ended when the director began dating her adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn.

Dylan Farrow says she decided to speak out after watching Allen receive a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes Jan. 12.
