Actor Jeremy Renner’s estranged wife is now threatening to blackmail him with private videos if he doesn’t help her get a green card, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The very public divorce is now heating up, as Renner reportedly wrote in the legal documents that his wife Sonni Pacheco has threatened to release intimidate video recordings if he refuses to help her gain U.S. citizenship.
The wife, Sonni Pacheco, is a Canadian-born lingerie model and is 20 years younger than Renner. While the two share a 2-year-old child, Pacheco has been accused of repeatedly stating she only married Renner to gain financial stability and a green card, reports the site.
The couple split in December after 10 months of marriage and are currently engaged in a bitter custody dispute over their daughter, Ava.
Renner cited what he describes as neglectful parenting on the part of Pacheco and alleged that she left the child unattended for a period of 15 minutes on one occasion, which ultimately resulted in undisclosed injuries to the toddler.
A roommate of Renner has jumped to his defense and has filed a statement claiming Pacheco smokes and drinks, while also asserting the model abused cocaine shortly after the end of her pregnancy.
For her part, Pacheco has fired back at Renner, saying that his gun collection poses a risk to their young daughter.
