Vice President Joe Biden attended a private Washington D.C. screening of Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Tina Fey’s upcoming film about author and journalist Kim Barker’s war reporting in Afghanistan and Pakistan, on Tuesday.

Deadline reports Joe Biden and his wife Jill attended a screening of the film at the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington D.C., which was also attended by Secretary of State John Kerry.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, after watching the film, attendees participated in a Q&A session with Fey, producer Lorne Michaels (Saturday Night Live), and screenwriter Robert Carlock.

The event was hosted by MPAA CEO Chris Dodd and Viacom executive vice president of global government affairs Dede Lea.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, which is based on Barker’s 2012 memoir The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan, also stars Margot Robbie.

The story tells how Barker navigated the “male-dominated world of journalism” in Afghanistan and Pakistan during her time as the Chicago Tribune’s South Asia bureau chief from 2004-09.

The film will debut nationwide on Mar. 4.
