Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) campaign raised over $2 million for charities involved in various coronavirus relief efforts, the campaign announced on Saturday.

In a two-day span, the Sanders campaign raised over $2 million, which will go to five charities –Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, One Fair Wage Emergency Fund, Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund, and the National Domestic Workers:

“What we’ve seen in the last two days is the definition of fighting for someone you don’t know,” Sanders campaign’s digital fundraising director Robin Curran said in a statement.

“The people supporting this campaign have made more than 50,000 donations to help those most impacted by coronavirus because they understand that now more than ever it is important that we are in this together,” Curran continued.

Sanders, who blasted Trump’s response and claimed that the U.S. stands at a disadvantage due to the absence of Medicare for All, has been providing updates of his own on the coronavirus via virtual roundtable discussions.

He recently released his proposal to address the pandemic, calling for financial assistance to Americans — a demand which follows the Trump administration’s calls to issue monthly paychecks to Americans. Sanders’ plan also calls for a halt to student loan payments — something the Trump administration has already tackled — and the expansion of unemployment insurance.

“A basic underlining principle of what we must do in Congress right now is to make certain that every American receives the financial assistance they need to survive this crisis with dignity,” Sanders said on social media on Saturday, calling for “emergency cash payments of $2,000 to every person in America each month for the duration of this pandemic” in another tweet:
