Hamas: Gaza Riots Prove Palestinians Ready to ‘Start a Revolution’

The Times of Israel reports: A Hamas spokesman said Friday’s protests along the Gaza-Israel border were a signal to the world that Palestinians have started a revolution to “pave the way to freedom.”

“The March for Return has sent a message that made a decision to start the revolution and pave the way for our freedom,” Fawzy Barhoum tweeted. The protests, Barhoum said, would “break the siege and restore our rights.” He vowed they would continue until “a major breakthrough” was reached.

Earlier on Friday, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar (pictured) told thousands of Palestinians gathered at the border that Gaza would soon “explode in the face of the occupation.”
